Who is Team Green?

Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. We remain a local company based in Nashville, TN, though we have participants and members who join our events from other cities and states! Through adventure we promote health, community service, and environmental awareness. Check out our calendar and pick the adventure that’s right for you!

Upcoming Events

  • Food Sorting @ Second Harvest

    - Saturday, July 11th at 9am

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee collects non-perishable food items and redistributes them to community members experiencing hunger. As the donations come in, they need volunteers to help sort and store the food in their warehouse. That's where we come in, the volunteers. Help us fight hunger in 2015 by getting these generous food donations sorted!

  • Buffalo Canoe Float & Cleanup

    - Saturday, July 18th

Join Team Green Adventures on a 10-mile canoe float down the beautiful Buffalo River, and help us pick up litter and tires along the way, as you compete for prizes! Bridgestone Americas will recycle all tires we remove from our waterways, and SweetWater Brewing will provide post-float refreshments!

  • Wellness Workshop: Seasonal Allergies

    - Wednesday, July 22nd at 6pm

Among the most common allergens are pollen and pollutants, but those aren't the only seasonal allergies we experience. As outdoorists, we've probably all experienced forms of skin allergies from plants and bugs, too. This month, learn more about how and why your body reacts to seasonal allergens from a board certified allergist from the !

  • Mill Creek Adopt-a-Stream Cleanup

    - Sunday, July 26th at 10am

Team Green Adventures is a proud parent... of Mill Creek! We officially adopted this one-mile section in the fall of 2013, and are doing our part to remove litter that has built up over the years. This month's cleanup will be a "walking float" cleanup! Many sections of this creek are only ankle deep, but other sections may be float/swim worthy so bring an innertube for inflatable raft!

  • Ocoee Whitewater Rafting & Camping

    - August 29-30th

Join Team Green Adventures and the experienced guides of Ocoee Adventure Center for Olympic quality white water rafting on the Ocoee River, plus an evening of camping under the stars in the Cherokee National Forest! We will raft the Upper & Middle sections for a full day of adventure! Don't miss out on America’s Olympic River with Class III & IV rapids!

  • Monthly Fitness Workshops

    - Second Sunday of Each Month

Are you interested in getting fit and trying a new workout, but don't know where to get started? Join us the Second Sunday of each month for our Member Only Fitness Workshop Series with Metro Park's Centennial Sportsplex! Throughout the year we'll introduce you to new bootcamp-style workouts you can incorporate into your own weekly workout routine.
