Team Adventure Guides (TAG) is a volunteer group of active Team Green members who help organize and lead Team Green treks. Each member of TAG belongs to one or more specialization based on experience. They volunteer to lead trips as a representative of Team Green Adventures and do their best to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of participants on their events. Team Green is grateful for all of the time and effort that they contribute to the success of Team Green. Get to know your TAG members!

TAG Specialties

Backpacking/Hiking: Team Green leads a variety of hiking options ranging from easy strolls along Nashville’s Greenways to weekend long backpacking trips on the Cumberland and Appalachian Trails. TAG members on this committee are experienced hikers with a wealth of knowledge to inspire novice hikers with a similar passion.

Volunteer/Mixers/Clinics: Team Green offers Adventure Mixers and picnics open to the public, as well as interactive weekday activities such as volleyball, volunteer opportunities, Engage Green workshops, and clinics. TAG members on this committee are the go-to people for anything social or community oriented.

Water Treks: Team Green loves the water and heads out to the lakes and rivers whenever possible! Water treks range from lazy river floats and sailing to Class IV white water rafting weekends or water clean up adventures. TAG members on this committee can help teach a novice paddler how to paddle safely.

Biking/Extreme Adventure: An increasingly popular Team Green activity is mountain biking, road rides, and adventure racing. TAG members on this committee are avid mountain bikers and adventure racers who have lead events in the past and can show a novice biker all the tricks of the trade.

Unique Adventures: Team Green plans a variety of seasonal treks each year that include skiing/boarding, horseback riding, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, yoga, car camping, caving, ice skating and more. TAG members on this committee are experienced in the activity that they lead.

Nerissa Aquino Nerissa is a Team Green member since 2005, co-leading volleyball and helping to offer more family friendly events. Nerissa is Wilderness First Aid Certified.

Stephen Bryant Stephen is a Team Green member since 2008 and is an experienced backpacker having through hiked the Appalachian trail, and enjoys whitewater treks. Stephen is Wilderness First Aid Certified.

Stephanie Cook Stephanie is a Team Green member since 2006 and is an avid rock climber, leading both the indoor and outdoor rock climbing events. Stephanie is Wilderness First Aid Certified.

Laurel Creech is former Team Green Director, in it from the start. Laurel is most often seen at Adventure Mixers, Backpacking and Hiking. Laurel is Wilderness First Aid Certified.

Kristen Eckstrand Kristen is a Team Green member since 2009 with a passion for rock climbing. Kristen helps with indoor and outdoor rock climbing trips.

Carl Hoagey Carl is a Team Green member since 2006 with experience in hiking, backpacking, paddling, and volunteer events. Carl is Wilderness First Aid Certified.

Phil Lienesch Phil is a Team Green member since 2004, leading several mountain biking, kayaking, and canoe adventures. Phil is Wilderness First Aid Certified.

Keeley Reed is the current Team Green Director, serving as Event Coordinator two years prior. She is often seen at mixers, rock climbing, and backpacking. Keeley is Wilderness First Aid Certified.
