Who is Team Green?
Team Green Adventures is Tennessee’s outdoor adventure leader with a 14 year history. Through our partnership with Lightning 100, we promote Health, Community Service, and Environmental Awareness through Adventure. We hope to instill a respect for the environment, a desire to explore new adventures, and a craving for challenge beyond everyday boundaries.

WOMEN IN ADVENTURE RACING INFO SESSION

What exactly is an adventure race? Consider it somewhere along the lines of a multi-sport, scavenger hunt, obstacle course! Each adventure race is different and offers it’s own rewards. TrailBlazers along with Team Green and REI is offering a special information session on what it’s like to be a woman involved in the traditionally male dominated sport of Adventure Racing!

Children Policy Girls 12 and older are permitted
Dog Policy Dogs are not permitted at this venue
We will discuss:
a) The history of females in Adventure Racing
b) Physiology of women in racing (and why females excel in long races)
c) Women\‘s typical strengths and weaknesses at different stages of racing
d) Women – are they really just “mandatory gear”? (hint: nope)
e) Balancing training, racing, work and family
f) What it’s REALLY like to be out there with the guys
Refreshments will be provided and there will be lots of time to ask questions. This is a free clinic and is open to both TrailBlazer members and non-members. It is open to both experienced and new racers.

TrailBlazers Adventure Racing club is the largest Adventure Racing club in the country, and the Nashville chapter has the most active message board !
